December is the best time to buy toys and electronics. Tons of stores have awesome sales right now.
But you’d better sit down for this one.
This Thursday (December 6) through Saturday (December 8) at Kohl’s ALL Fisher-Price, Playskool, Little Tikes, Barbie, Disney Princess, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tonka, Crayola, Play-Doh, Nerf, Step 2 and Dollie & Me toys are 50% off.
But that’s not all.
If you shop during the Nightowl or Earlybird hours (3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 – 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8), you get an EXTRA 15% off the sale price (already 50% off).
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL.
In the flyer I got in the mail, there was also a “Yes Pass” that gives you an EXTRA 20% OFF OF EVERYTHING.
So, let’s recap.
50% off toys + 15% off nightowl/earlybird discount + 20% off with Yes Pass = SUPER HUGE SAVINGS
And I have $10 in Kohl’s cash to spend, too.
I seriously LOVE Kohl’s.
I have shopped there the past 2 weekends – once for my Christmas gifts and once for kids my office adopted – and RACKED UP both times.
Can’t wait to tweet a picture of my next receipt!
Saw this GENIUS idea for kitchen cabinets on Facebook today. I’m definitely going to do this in my kitchen and both of my bathrooms.
You attach plastic notebook or file pockets to the inside of your cabinets to store papers or flat items. I’ve got some Command poster strips that will be perfect for doing this. If I actually get it done this weekend, I’ll post the results!
*Reposting because it’s time to get serious about Christmas shopping! And who wouldn’t want their own FREE personal shopper to help them find the perfect gift?*

I just ordered two school uniform shirts for my son and used my reward points to save an additional $5 off my total purchase.

Earlier this week, Kelly Ripa, a popular morning talk show host, in an interview with a guest, made a comment that set the "pit bull" dog community into a minor tailspin. For those that missed the show, Ms. Ripa said to her guest, in reference to his character's dog, "But the gangster's dog is uh, I mean if it's a gangster it would have to be a dangerous, uh, Pit Bull kind of dog, right?"
Unless you live under a rock, you have heard about the “31 Days” thing that has taking the blogging world by storm. I have seen some neat themes, but, as a single mom who works full-time, there is no way I could even remotely manage to follow more than one blogger on a daily journey, much less crank out a post-a-day on any topic myself right now.
To be honest, I wasn’t even going to give this 31 Days thing much thought at all. But I have this friend who has this blog that focuses on organization and cleaning tips and tricks for busy moms (of which I am *SO* one), so this month I am following @idreamofclean‘s 31 Days to a Clean & Organized Kitchen. With my busy schedule, my kitchen has felt rather neglected lately, so this is totally something that is useful to me right now (translation: my kitchen needed help STAT).

2. What’s the one thing your spouse does better than you?
3. When do you start buying Halloween Candy?
4. Family closets – Yay or nay?
5. Which home/cleaning chore do you hate the most? Why?
No matter how much you like your job, your kids, or your life in general, we all have those days. Here are ten tips for keeping stress at bay.
1. Take a brisk walk (or quick jog) to start the day or during breaks throughout the day.
Several studies have shown that those who start their day with a morning jog or exercise have less stress and burn more fat throughout the day.
