Reblogged from Daily Savings From All You Magazine:
Summer’s here, and most of us can’t wait to fire up the grill and have friends over for a BBQ.
But the cost of entertaining can put a damper on anyone’s party mood. By the time you shell out for the food, the drinks and the decorations, you’ve often spent more than you'd planned.
Host a chic (and cheap) gathering with help from these food shortcuts I’ve learned over the years.
Great ideas! That panzanella sounds great. I'll have to try that.
I'm going to a cook-out on Sunday where everyone is to bring their own meat to grill. I'd never heard of that before, but it's a pretty cool (and inexpensive) idea!
Corn on the cob is another inexpensive food that is great on the grill. My local Kroger has 6 ears for $2 this week. I'm bringing that to the cook-out on Sunday as well.
