So, I started selling AVON near the end of May.  My goal right now is just to make a little extra in my spare time (HA!).  Even so, it’s tough starting any kind of new business venture, especially when you are also a full-time employee and mom.  I already have some regular customers, mainly from work, and my mom (bless her heart) is gathering order for me from her church and the salon where she works even though she is 5 hours away.

So anyway, I logged onto Facebook earlier this week, and one of my friends, who is an artist, had recently ordered via my online store and posted this AWESOME review for Skin So Soft Bath Oil.

I normally don’t recommend products but I wanted to share a product for all you artists and DIYers out there. I’ve always used Avon’s Skin So Soft as a bug spray since it’s safe for kids and you don’t have to wash it off of them before bed, but after dying the Woog’s hair for the summer (a pink & purple stripe) I ended up having it ALL OVER my hands since I couldn’t find gloves and my attempts to be really careful failed. I had the dye on my hands for 2 days and it just wouldn’t come off, so when I was using skin so soft on the kids, I noticed that the dye came off. So all that to say, skin so soft will get paint (acrylic & latex so far), furniture stain, hair dye, even spray mount (yep, found that out too and could have really used this tip in college) and probably a bunch of other stuff off we artists get on our hands. I just used it instead of soap. Apparently there are several uses for it I found online today. Who knew!?: http://www.beckysbiz.com/skinsosoft.htm It apparently cleans paint of brushes too.

You can check out her super-cute artwork at Holli Conger Studios, like her page on Facebook, and order it for yourself from Ikea and Society6.  You can also find her designs on products in Target, Dollar Stores, and homeschool supply stores.
