Reblogged from Daily Spark:

So true. It takes time and discipline. There is no quick and easy to lose weight. Fad diets may work temporarily, but they are not sustainable, and your body will quickly rebel against the damage you are doing to it. In June of 2010, I decided it was time to totally revamp my eating habits and start exercising again. I didn’t starve myself. I didn’t work out 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. Though I switched to healthier versions of specific foods, I didn’t cut any food groups out. And two years later I am 50 pounds lighter, went from pant size 14/16 to a 6/8, and shirt size L/XL to small. It IS possible. But it didn’t happen overnight. And it didn’t happen until I got SERIOUS about it.

About Nancy

I am mom to a great teenager and two crazy dogs. I cook, clean, do laundry, and sew the occasional button. I grocery shop, coupon, pay bills, and manage a budget. I fix things around the house and know my way around a toolbox (thanks, dad). And I do all that while working a full-time job.
